i have finally realized what i can do to make the best of this situation.
as everyone knows, Muskegon lost a great great friend in Kim Bylund. It has been a strange experience for me, because I am not in town, and although kim and i were always friends, I haven't been home to muskegon much, and i haven't seen her in a very long time. because of this it's hard for me to believe that anything revolving around this situation is real.
on february 22nd 2009- i will be participating in a race in chicago called Hustle Up The Hancock, which is a race up 94 flights of stairs to raise money for respiratory health and lung disease. I fully intend to work hard on the fundraising part, and may even get my residents here at depaul involved. i know kim will appreciate my efforts because she was always so self-less about her disease, and would much rather talk me through a bad breakup than talk about her own, and ultimately more important, problems.
registration for the race is Nov 3. I would love to have some friends from Muskegon, if you are able, register for the race with me, and join me next february and run this race in honor of Kim.
